TV HIGHLIGHTS
March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. 90% of women don’t know the main symptoms of Ovarian Cancer and 24% are diagnosed in their seventies. This month we highlight what to look out for and what can often seem quite innocent. Salt Awareness Week encourages everyone to make healthier food choices with FoodSwitch. Foods can be surprisingly high in salt and many struggle to understand food packaging labels. Wednesday 10th March is this year’s National No Smoking Day. Smoking is the nations’ biggest killer and stopping smoking is one of the best things anyone can do for their health. Oral Health Day is when healthcare professionals can empower people with knowledge, tools and confidence to secure good oral health. And finally this month, Scotland has announced plans to expand coronavirus testing into its health and social care care and England has launched #BacktoSchool campaign to reassure parents and pupils preparing for a full return to education.
